If I digress, I can make a parallel about how each household had only one telephone, like literally.
If I digress somemore, I can go on and on about there was no telephone once upon a time.
I will not digress, because there was only one desktop computer, many softwares were created so that different users of the desktop computer can use it with a setting they prefer. For example, you have the option to create accounts on Windows which prompt you to login to the software everytime you turn that hardware on.
Sometimes, you forget to log off and then a powerful user will change all of your settings for you to the point where you no longer want to use the expensive combination of soft and hard ware.
Now, the situation has migrated to cloud computing. I was invited to join some group, in order to join I was suppose to read the rules. The invitation was in English, as soon as I click on the rules, all rules were set out in traditional Chinese typeface. I did not want to read rules in Chinese when the invitation was in English.
I am not sure in what language the original rules were written in and I don't want care to find out.
There are so many times when I have to look for the button to change what I am reading back to a language I prefer. I could not find such a button on my teenie tiny mobile device with a shattered touchscreen sceen by the way when I scroll the rules from top to bottom. Usually the option to change language is at the bottom.
Some members of my household prefer to read in Chinese and I don't know how but their preference have transferred onto some of my online accounts.
Robots are stupid.
I read in Chinese when I want to.
It is too easy to write something online now, go back to reading some classics to improve on your language not some stuff that maybe someone want someone to read to catch some potential errors.
