Yesterday, I was at the gym that I exercise at on a regular basis. If I am not there for an extended period of time, it is because I am not well. My gym is very popular and I tend to go during busy hours. There are always new members or new faces.; however, I always see familiar faces whenever I go.
I digressed. Last evening, at the end of my gym session I saw something that bothered me. The last thing I want to see after I finish working out and showering, is a guy I do not know, sitting at the heart monitor machine but not using it and facing directly towards the women's changeroom with the camera pointing directly at the entrance/exit of the change room.
I did not say anything to this person who bothered me by not knowing where to idle. There are all these tables at the entrance of the gym for you to be idle with your phone and you choose to sit right at the entrance or exit to the women's change room. WTF is wrong with you! You see, when I saw him, I was not sure what was bothering me. I was still busy processing in my head what was bothering me.
In recent years, there has been a lot of discussions about "gender neutral" spaces. I know from public announcements that at least one community center within my traveling area is installing gender neutral change room. I hope there are not too many idiots like him at the change room.
I will visit the gender neutral change room, fully clothed, when I have time just to see how it's like in case I have to use it in the future. I used to goto beaches and some beaches had no change rooms. It's called towel up!
It's not rocket science. It's very easy to spot people who want their privacy!
