Note Taking Fun!

My library book containing many yummy recipes is due tomorrow.  Therefore, I am currently typing notes with my MS Office Suite.  The title of my important note is "Excerpt from MASTERING the ART of JAPANESE HOME COOKING by MORIMOTO, Masahuru – Iron Chef 1st Edition – 2016" (the "JP Home Cooking Book").  In my excerpt, I have included images from the net.

After entertaining our important family guests, I skipped my afternoon nap and have been diligently typing away while listening to and singing with some of my favourite CDs.  The image below is my incomplete table of content of my excerpt to the JP Home Cooking Book.

I am still working away on it.  After all, the deadline is tomorrow before 5 p.m. or 9 p.m. depending on when the library closes.  This reminds me of my university and college days where I would type away at school library computers while waiting for the next lecture so that there is less cramming involved during cramming week and resell all my new or used books in mint condition for the highest price possible.

I also finished reading Jump Take the leap of faith to achieve your life of abundance by Harvey, Steve.  I found that the first edition of this JUMP book has a few typos; however, I am not sure if it was intentional (after all, Mr. Harvey is, among many things, a comedian).  I am on my 58th day of Wisdom of the Ages 60 days of Enlightenment by Dyer, Wayne W..  This 60 days of enlightenment has lasted for a very long time.  Mr. Dyer has recommended that his readers read one chapter each day and I have followed his instructions.  Sometimes, I am too tired to even read one chapter that is why this 60 days lasted more than 60 days.  The Dictionary that I have mentioned in my blog a long time ago has been very helpful throughout my readings and I am adding words to my vocabulary.

Would your rather receive or give?

I have been asked this question many times:  "Would your rather receive or give?" OR "Would you rather be a receiver or a giver?"

I pondered very hard each time.  Read my answer to this question next week.

"Would I...?"

Would I be writing this song?
Would I be writing a song?
Would I even be singing this song?

Would I finish writing this song?
Would I be able to decide which verse this belongs?

Should I care about grammar with this song?
Should I care about grammar at this point?

Would I even share this page?
Would I even fill up this page?
Should I be writing at all?

Would I, Would I, Would I???
I would, I would, I would.

I guess it is a little too late, because I have already written on this page.

Raking leaves

Dear Readers,

I was busy raking leaves this morning, hence the late posting (just kidding).

Anyways, many years ago, two angels came to my house and offered to rake our leaves for us in the name of the lord.  We accepted their offer and our front yard was completely free of leaves!

Thank you.

Radio is a wonderful invention because it gave us Radio Programs and more!  Now, we can win free tickets or $$$!!!

Just look up your local radio stations or satellite radio stations or whatever radio derivatives and see what contests are going on.  The more listeners, the BETTER THE PRIZE!!!  The less listeners, the MORE CHANCES OF WINNING!!!!  Make sure you know the rules! You don't want to call in and not get the PRIZE!

Yesterday, I posted about Volunteering.  If you haven't guessed this week's theme by now, it's Giving!  After all, Christmas Eve is Coming (followed by Santa Clause)!

Volunteering

In my younger days, I have volunteered a lot.  In my even younger days, I have also probably participated in a lot of somewhat volunteer ran programs.

I have participated in quite a number of volunteer training programs.  Whether I end up volunteering or not (even after attending a training program in its entirety), I always gain a lot by attending the training programs (even if only partially).  A potential volunteer can tell if they want to volunteer for you or not by attending your training program.

No one cares if you don't volunteer!  But if you are planning to volunteer, make sure you are ready, informed and committed.  Be flexible, adaptable and willing to listen.  Don't forget to apologize, even if its a decade later (although it could be a bit hard.. at that point).

The Case of the Missing Transit Card

We lay before you two (2) transit cards, a ruler and a card holder.

These are the items that were returned to me again.  Once again, they could not find my presto card.  I don't know what to do anymore.

Technology does not ruin romance!

Today, this is the most romantic story I can remember, but tomorrow I might remember a more romantic story and then the day after tomorrow I may dream about the most romantic story of all.  Please do not confuse romance with love.  There is a fine line between romantic gestures and grand gestures.

Technology does not ruin romance. Bad timing and lack of communication does.

See videos of "the guy" proposing to "the girl" in public and "the girl" running away.  You need to have guts at the right moment with the right person!

Dreaming on Transit

I recommended a video about dreaming on transit once.  I lost that blog post.  Now, I am re-blogging it.  This is a re-dream.  You go find that video about dreaming on transit because there are too many.

My lost blog post was about how beautiful I found that video.  This time, I will talk in a funny dream sequence out of love.  A short video about sleeping on transit featuring two people talking on various modes of transportation because we have no time for a full length feature film.  We like to watch a bunch of mini movies and pretend we have watched a full length feature film but there is a difference.

Remember to write down your dreams so that you can remember them.

Da Vinci, where art thou?

One of my favourite actress starred in two of my favourite movies.  Ever after and Never been kissed.  Later in life, I would realize that the same actress was also the girl from E.T. because some guy had a crazy crush on her.

I was introduced to Ever After because of a birthday party.  My first birthday party in Canada.  There were too many beautiful scenes and dialogues in this movie.  My favourite scene was of an angel swimming in a lake and Da Vinci tripping over her while prince charming was asking the most important question of all.  Da Vinci did not provide an answer.

Language? Language Art? The Art of...?

At this point in time, I just want to plagiarize the dictionary and simply type the entire definition of the word "language" and be done with today's blog post.

We create out of love, we cannot create love without communication so we have language.  There will always be language.  My current relationship with language is a love hate relationship.

Image, Comment and Interpretation

I once posted a comment on a photograph I found on the internet.  It was an image of a sign left on a street.  The sign either read "Love me" or "I love you".  I can't exactly remember what it said but it had the word "LOVE" in it.

On a photograph sharing forum, I wanted to share this beautiful image.  I forgot exactly what I wrote at the time but I posted that photograph and indicated that I found it to be beautiful.  I thought it was beautiful because someone noticed the abandoned signed at the side of the street and took the time to photograph it.

We have many celebrations about love.  This week's theme is love.  Christmas Eve is coming!

The Case of the Missing Transit Card

We lay before you two (2) transit cards, a ruler and a card holder.

These are the items that a girl has left with our receptionist today.  She insisted that we take all of these "important" items so that we can find her missing transit card.  Our receptionist, confused and lost, told her that we will do everything in our power to help her find her missing transit card.

Unfortunately, our receptionist forgot to take down her contact information so even though we found her missing transit card, we could not return it to her.  We are now deliberating what we should do with the items the girl has left behind.

I like beer

We have debated about what to blog about on a Leisure Friday.

My original idea was a post with the title "I like beer".

I like beer, it is an “alcoholic” drink or is it?
It just tastes crisp, pure, cold, and refreshing to me.
It reminds me of summer.
I like drinking from the bottle just not opening the bottle

because I don’t have thick skin!

One beer is enough for me, it takes me all night to finish it and we don't want to visit the ladies room.
Bring on the snacks please!

I dreamt about being a teacher

(Spin, Spin, Spin)

"I see that you want to be a mother" said my junior kindergarten teacher or early childhood educator.  We were probably playing a fortune telling game.  She was fortune telling for the whole class.  I questioned her predictions even as a child.

Anyhow, at some point in my childhood, I have dreamt about being a teacher.  Afterall, you receive Christmas Gift from the whole class (elementary school only), you get summer vacations and you get to go to school everyday!

But then, my teachers went on strike and I thought to myself, "maybe it is not that great being a teacher after all".  As a child, I loved their strike because no school for me.  I even saw them in action during my bicycle rides.  They were standing in freezing cold holding up signs and no one saw them (at least that is what I saw anyways).

There was also a favourite "halloween" moment which i missed with one of my "teacher".  I am not sure if it happened around halloween time but I called it the "halloween" moment because our school librarian turned into a witch with her voice when the entire class was mean to her (we are only with her once a week or once a month).  She was usually very nice and quiet.  For some reason, I was absent from school that day so I only heard stories.  Years later, I went back to my elementary school and she was now teaching a grade two or grade three class and her hair was a mess.  I was wondering if she was coping OK.  I never said anything to her because she only taught me once a week or once a month for one year only and she probably doesn't remember me anyways but I hope she still liked her job.

Then there was high school, one of my favourite teacher don't remember me because I didn't go back to visit every year so I skipped out on the most recent alumni reunion.  There are only a few teachers and students.   I remember their stories but they probably can't remember mine because I am stoic.

Let's just pause here on teachers that have inspired me.  Based on my limited observations in the early part of my life, I have concluded that I may not be suitable to be a teacher.  For other observations, such as admission requirements, GPA, MCAT, LSAT, EQAO, others.. please read... sorry haven't blog about it yet.

Missing Tryouts

Two tryouts that I missed that I am aware of.  Let's just talk about one of them for now.

I missed the high school basketball tryout.  There was 3 try outs for the first year, I missed the first two try outs and just attended the last freaking try out.  So i never made the team!  Missing one year of practice is a big deal for someone like me, who has never went to Basketball camp!

P.S. If you didn't apply for the Amazing Race Canada, the casting call just ended (last week?) ;)!

I like headphones.

I like headphones, they protect my ears from other people’s loud “music”.
It is pleasant to hear the sounds of bad radio reception;
you know, the buzzing, fuzzing sound because there is interruption.
Some people find it relaxing to put headphones on their ears and pretend to be listening to something,
Some people find it relaxing to blast "music" into their ears and tell me that it is none of my business,
which is why I love headphones.
It is so versatile.

I don’t like headphones on my sensitive ears.
My precious ear drums do not want to be injured by loud music.
Sound cancellation technology works perfectly to cancel outside noises but
is it safe for my precious ears?  I don’t use it enough to know the answer.

That is the question.

BLOG 101: Organizing Blog Statistic

This author has not learnt how to use all the blogger statistic tools because it is irrelevant to her since she has hardly any readers; however, she has kept "journals", "diarys", asian avenues, myspace, facebook, blogspot, other unknown methods and blogged inconsistently with you or before you were born.

She has lost most of her original materials so she is analyzing her inconsistent blogging habits since 2014 based on whatever materials she has on this blog.  See the MS Paint Image which showcases her amazing copy and paste job, art with MS Paint and limited MS excel skills.

Here are some notes from the creator of this image:

I have created this image with the intention of explaining my blog and I went a bit overboard.  This image relates to the topic but doesn't translate into what I want to write about.  If you would like a further explanation or analysis of my MS Paint image, please let me know and maybe I'll blog about it.

This is a repeat of the same message over and over again so if you still don't know my blog and need to read this again then read this again:

Mundane Monday originally was Working Monday and then it became Stupid Monday and now we have settled on Mundane Monday.

Technology Tuesday has always been Technology Tuesday.

Wednesday was a walk down memory lane but that is too long so now it's just Hump Day.  In other words, Hump Day in this blog means a walk down memory lane.

Dreamy Thursday was inspired by McDreamy ;).  We don't have a day for McSteamy.

Leisure Friday because we like jeans.

Playful Saturday is sometimes referred to as Random ON! but Random ON! might appears in some other days by accident.

Restful Sunday might have been Lazy Sunday at some point.  Originally, it is suppose to be photo only or image only because it is lazy.  Either way, it is suppose to be an extremely quick read.

P.S. we are still working on consistent formatting, footers and etc. whatever that means (read blog for examples of our practices)

Photo with Santa

Taking a photo with Santa was not a family tradition.  I knew Santa didn't exist since kindergarten because my dad dressed up as Santa.

Anyways,  Okee and Q are going to have at least one photo with Santa (hopefully).

We practiced their "holding still for photo" pose today.  They are photo ready just not model ready.
