Toy Shopping

As you may know, Toy Story 4 is made and will be playing in theatre extremely soon.  I have been wanting a Bo Peep for a while.  This plastic prototype is made ok, better than most of what is up for grabs in the common market.  In my opinion this Bo Peep comes in her undergarment so I'll be making her first dress.  No deadline so she may never get a dress.

While picking her up at an affordable price, I saw three puzzles.  Ever since I completed my 500 snow white puzzle I have always wanted to complete another puzzle.  Today I found three.  This time the illustration is better, more colourful and much more suited for an adult.   I hope I won't have too much trouble putting the three puzzles together.  It's been a while.

I hope no puzzles go missing.  I've noticed that some of my old old old puzzles are missing a piece here and there which I found odd because I always used to have a complete set.

Multipurpose Winter Boots

Yesterday, June 9, 2019, I ran or maybe just jogged a little in my winter boots with my sidekick, Okee (a non-purebred husky).

I have thought about trashing this pair of boots a few times because I have poked holes at the lower left hand corner of the left heel and the lower right hand corner of the right heel.  In other words I have broken both heels.  They are not comfortable to walk in anymore for that reason.

This pair of boots I speak of is one of those Uggs knockoffs.  Aside from the broken heel, the boot is still super warm and comfy and the bottom or sole of the boot is still thick.  Afterall, it is a winter boot.

It is now summer, so I felt like I was running bare foot on carpet the entire time.  It was great!  No shoe laces.  Anyhow, in summary, I knocked off Ugg with broken heels on both side is great for practicing running with toes outdoor!

You have to leap with the upper portion of your feet and land with the upper portion as well.

Missing indigenous women

I think missing indigenous women have went a long way.  The first time I learned about them was in my final year of university.  I decided to take a introduction to aboriginal studies as an elective (since I already completed all of my undergrad requirements to graduate).  Today, to learn that some more "official" group decided to take a stab and look at the issue beginning in 2016 makes me feel that the people who cared about the missing women went a long way.   I feel happy for them.  I hope that's an ok feeling.

In my humble opinion by the time the "officials" came along, they were probably looking at all the information the more "grassroot" liked groups have already gathered.  That could be a lot of information to look at.

As an undergrad student, I could have looked at the website I was provided but I didn't.  I wasn't ready yet.

Anyhow, I learned a lot in class.  I enjoyed it very much even though my grade was only so-so.

A decade is a long time, it's funny how a lot of the things I studied at school are now hot topics on the street.

Similarly, the internet has grew exponentially.  Sometimes I have trouble determining what's new and what's old.
