A well placed sign with a short message

Yesterday morning, I went cycling and passed by the closest main street to my domicile.

While I was on main street, I saw a sign which stated the following: "Come in, were OPEN".  Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I have assumed that the local gelato store was closed, which is located in a short but wide alleyway off of main street.  You won't know what is there if you don't walk up the alley.

Seeing that they put in extra effort to let passerby, such as myself, know that they were opened for business I decided to go visit them in the afternoon.

Well, my assumption was correct, the "Gelato" store was gone.  What was there was Roll Me Up Ice cream store.  Anyhow, I tried their ice cream.  It was good.  The staff was very enthusiastic and nice.  We had a hard time hearing each other because of the face mask but we were happy to see them and they were happy to see us.

Here is a photo of me giving an ice-cream cheer to the well placed sign.

Annual long ride

Traveling long distance for someone like myself is not good.
I am a direction blind but for some reason people like to ask me for directions.
When I am traveling, I don't like turning back and just hope that I am traveling the right direction.
I tend to know when I may have went the wrong direction at the moment it happens but I continue to travel anyways...because what if what I thought was wrong could be right....

With traveling, the more you travel (to the same place) the easier it gets.

The bicycle still going strong.  I recently tested out the break and release function manually on my annual long ride where I took one wrong turn on the way back, where I forgot to turn on my way to the location.

I also tested out the weight of my bicycle by carrying it up hill for a little bit.

The way home had a lot of uphill!

This picture was taken from March and not from the annual long ride.
