I have no idea who made the bike but it was made in Japan. My dad bought it many years ago at a garage sale. He rode it a few times while my mother and I rode on the other (note: 2 bikes from the same maker, looks like a couple bike). I didn't ride those bike too often because they looked outdated and uncool.
Fast forward many years later, I decided to clean the garage to free up space. I moved the biclcyes to the shed. Unfortunately, the shed was not as good of a storage place as the garage. After one winter, the conditions of the bike became a lot worse. I was extremely upset at myself.
Anyhow, I wanted to ride my dad's bike again so I took it to a bike shop to see if it can still be brought back to rideable condition. After all, it has just been sitting at storage for many many years. I told the same story to the person who was attending the shop and luckily they were able to bring it back to rideable condition. I was in shocked because they were able to fix it up. You have to be me to understand why I was in shock. It was very impressive.
After that, I rode the bicycle many times. The first time I rode it, I knew it was fixed but there were still parts to be fixed. When I am able, I fix bike too. I put a break back on a bike before. I am not a professional but I enjoy riding my bike. On my first ride, the front break worked but it was so sharp that the back of the bike pushed me off. During the process, the front break fell off as well. I continued riding the bicycle because I still had my back break and my feet. If the tires did not get popped, I would still be riding it today.
I definitely mistreated the bike a few times when I kicked it away from me so alignment was off. On one of my last ride, I saw a fallen chicot, so I decided to not break and just experience a crash for the first time ever. It was ok. Dead branches are soft.
The bike shop attendant refused my business when I last visited. I am still pissed at our interaction. That attendant might refuse all bikes with very wore looking tire.
I was contemplating writing to the transit and ask if they would take this bike in because I was very impressed by the bike stand. This bike can stand on the transit by itself. I don't think they make stands like this anymore. However, that's not a bike shop so i decided to blog about it instead.
By chance, I hope you come across this writing because maybe there is a similar bicycle sitting in storage. Wear and tear. Sitting in storage collecting dust also count.
I just don't want to throw it into a big bin and let it be crushed by other heavier discarded items.
