Running and Singing

Over the holidays, I bought the family a speaker that has karaoke and disco light function.  I started using it recently and learned that I can sing!

A year or two ago, I could not sing, I sounded horrible but because I have been running and doing other forms of exercising on a regular basis, I now have enough endurance and lung capacity to sing.

I learned from singing Disney and other musical songs that a song is easier to sing when the correct words are used.  When I sing lyrics I wrote myself, because the sound or tone of the word was incorrect as in it did not fit the melody(?) or harmony between tone of the words and the music did not match.

I can crescendo easy because the right word was used, I can sing softly because that word is easy to sound.

Anyhow, I am really enjoying my singing and learning about work that I already appreciate.  I used to watch some of the things I am now singing to during lunch time as a child.  I was my own re-run channel.  As in, I rented that laser disc and then recorded it into a vhs for home use and watch it on repeat.

I watched each movie so many times that I can sort of remember the scene from just listening to the bgm.  The music is just very lovely.
