Nights of Lights

Went to look at Christmas lights this year.
I was lucky I was with my friend. He got us free drinks! He takes nice photos! He poses for the camera! AND he is a nice person. He can be mean but so can everyone else!
Entrance fee or cover fee was $20 bucks per person plus applicable taxes and processing fee.
We saw Pegasus!
I practiced posing for the camera.
My free beverage reminded me of this lemon drink his friend was making with friends!
I left the night wondering how many times I forgot to say thank you that nuit!
I dont like using excuses, but most of the time that happens because i am giddy, nervous, confused and deep in thoughts all at once.

Thank you and cheer for another year!  I am going back to bed now. Have to count down tonight.

on the news

I learned from the news last night that no white Christmas in most of Ontario this year.  We get a wet one which got me pondering about the canal in Ottawa. Global warming. AND. Traditions.  What if someone's tradition was to dance, glide or walk across the river every Christmas to get to a friend's place.

What if your only way to get to point a to point b is by walking on ice.

I was about to drift and wonder off in my creative scenario.. so I'll stop this post now. Merry Xmas! Happy holidays!

Currently Reading...

A while back, I thrifted "BEST MARITIMES SHORT STORIES" - printed and bounded in Canada.  I am still reading it.  Some SHORT stories are harder to read than others.  The first two pages of the current story is easier to read and the following question (asked by the first person writer) made me laugh "Does she guess that one comes to prefer silence to the fatigue of constant explaining?"

Hahahahahahah!

I have not finished reading the story yet but i am guessing it is about a mother hosting her mother.

WoooOOOh it's windy out there

Very windy this weekend.  Repeated strong gusts equal weaken branches falling out of trees. Bang, "where did this fallen branch come from? Did I do something terribly wrong?" was my first thought the moment I heard the branch hitting our old old deck. "I guess it's time to go home", I thought, the moment I saw a second set of fallen branches during my rollerblading section (which was less than 10 mins).  After having a glimpse of highlights of news that returned with the key word "windy", I decided to attempt to write a parody to a cheer i learned long ago (as i am typing this on my tablet with my one finger, I can still hear the strong gusts outside - closed window and all).

I say wooh it's windy out there. There must be some air in the atmosphere.
