Spartan Race has six (6) events: Sprint, Super, Beast, Ultra-Beast, Hurricane and Agoge. I have never participated in a Hurricane or Agoge event but after being a Season Pass holder this year, I think I have enough experience and knowledge that I can make a fun event suggestion.
A lot of people were sad that the Gladiators were gone from the Spartan Race, I was one of those people. I even wrote a blog post a few months back wondering why I have not seen a Gladiator on any Spartan Race course since 2013. With that said, I present to you the Spartan/Gladiator Event.
If I was promoting the Spartan/Gladiator Event, it will go something like this:
Spartans, we are back! We heard you loud and clear that you would like to be slaughtered by us again. We would like to invite you all to our stadiums. We have watched you compete in your Spartan Race for years as spectators, supports and racers.
Who are we? We are the Gladiators! and WE ARE BACK!!!
We cordially invite you lots to our stadiums where you will attempt to complete a three (3) kilometers obstacles course with 20+ obstacles manned by us, the gladiators. Those of you who manage to get to the finish line may be admitted into our ranks.
As a courtesy to you, the final obstacle you will face will be a rope climb; however, we will pull you down and dump cold water on you as your attempt to climb up that rope. Consider yourself lucky, if you manage to get to the rope climb.
There will be no penalties for failing an obstacle, you simply have to cross the finish line. Good luck! We look foward to seeing you! :)
