Singing

I was never a good singer but my singing improved.

As an older adult, I just sing alone in my private domains, no choir, no public performance, etc.

This good morning, one of the first thing I did was sing along to a recording of great live music accompanied by great dancing!  They were performing in the evening, I forgot how many years ago, while I was singing at around erm... past 5 a.m. in the morning, being a time close to the moment of I just woke up from a peaceful slumber.  

Yesterday, while I was occupied, I had a thought about songs made for a well loved serie of movies.  The song I sung along to was not in a language I spoke nor read nor write; however, I always loved everything I saw and heard from the live performance recorded.  Another song made for the same "serie" had the same song name but in English and in a different melody?  I practiced the first two or three lines for less than 30 seconds in my head yesterday, I was the one woman performer playing all of the live instruments, dancing, singing and etc.  In otherworld, I mumbled-ly sung the English lyrics and call up in memory the sound I remember from the live performance.  I could only remember the first two or three lines of the English song so I could not practice for real without looking up reference materials.  In my head though, I already knew what I had to do to have fun in one of my private domains very soon ;) 

As soon as I woke up this morning,  I remembered my desire to try to merge the two related songs together with my best effort.  After rehearsing once with the recording, I decided to record my second practice and thereafter review my singing.  I was amazing!  The problems I anticipated with potential equipment issues occurred.  For example, I sang too loudly and too close to the microphone!  It was great morning for checking my voice and my equipment.  Now I can listen to my own music whenever I want! Hopefully no hacker will hack into my offline recorder and erase wavelengths from my recording so that they can hear an acapella version.
