Anti Bullying Measures

A lot of anti-bullying measures are actually not clearly labelled as anti-bullying.

The narrative of bullying that I am used to reading is a teenager is targeted, becomes isolated, who suffers physical as well as emotional pain caused by the bully, becomes even more isolated and could potentially end up dead caused by the bully or the group of bullies.

The person who survives, who defeats the bully, is one who takes appropriate actions.  Fight or Flight?

Fight has many meanings.  Fighting could mean writing down on a piece of paper all the things you love about living and yourself.  Fighting could mean finding peers to do activities that all of you enjoy doing.  Fighting could mean changing up your routine just a little so it is harder for the bully to predict your actions.  Don't be too drastic.  It takes practice and disciple to continually survive and eventually thrive.

Flight also has many meaning.  In essence, it means to get from an unsafe place to a safe place.

If you feel like you are being bullied, talk to someone about it to see if you are really being bullied.  Do not stay silent for too long that you end up at a corner thinking there is no solution.

I find it odd with teenage suicide or teenage violence.  Do they no longer have extracurricular activities at school,? Or volunteer service hour requirements,?  I think those places a great place to find peers.  My thinking is that if a bully see you connecting with others, they may stop targeting you because who knows how big your social circle can grow when YOU step away from the bullying situation and no longer identify yourself as a victim.

Have hope! Have confidence in yourself! Be patient with yourself.  Do your homework and study for your tests.  You can and will get away and pass on your wisdoms to others.

There are more caring people than bullies.
