Anthology review

I have only read the introduction and the first writing in a book containing a collection of writings by different writers published together.

I am rereading what I read because I have came across words that are not part of my vocabulary. 

I am copying down the definitions as I do my second reading which is really to look and locate all of the words I don't already know.

I am doing this because although I did not know every word, I can still comprehend this anthology.  I am captivated enough by what I have read so far that I am willing to pull my dictionary off the shelve for more reading.

The dictionary certainly provide me with definitions, explanations and examples that elucidate obscure words for me.
