As a child, I really enjoyed playing in public parks and playground. I never got to play in those fancy McDonald's playground because by the time they were available, I was already too old. There should be a day for adults to play in McDonald's playground. Some adults, never got to experience it. It is not fair! The feeling of jumping into a pool filled with soft plastic balls is really one of a kind.
As an adult, I still secretly play in public parks. My stay at these parks are short and, usually, I am the only one playing there. It's great when you have the whole park to yourself because you don't have to share or wait for that kid to get off the swing. Besides, I am a big girl now so I can basically go through the entire park pretty quickly. As your body change, you use the playground differently. For example, a slide that used to be hard to climb up is now easy. Instead of crawling through a tunnel, you may choose to jump over it. That is why I make sure no child is around when I play at the playground because they may get the wrong idea and attempt moves that their body is not ready to handle yet.
It's fun at the playground now because I feel like a giant. When I was child, the park felt different relative to my small size. Sometimes, I even stomp over kids sand creations (when left unattended). It's great to feel like a giant! I would love to play basketball with some kids half my height and block all of their shots with a big slam and go "HAAA!". Sorry, went on a tangent.
Anyhow, if you have traveled to as many parks and playground and played in them like me, you will notice that there are slight and small differences, probably designed with different age groups in mind.
I plan to print-out a map of all the park areas within cycling distance and have photos of each playground at the park areas. I don't know when I will go around to do this but its definitely on my to-do list. I don't care if this is already available somewhere, it's different when you make your own map!
Some playgrounds are more fun than others but they all have the most basic element. The element of fun! When I arrive the fun increase drastically because I am the definition of fun!
