I had a lot of funny thoughts this past year mostly because I finally have time to think recreationally. I have been having many funny conversations with myself. I can go on and on about conversations I would like to have other people participate in. Today, I will share one of my less funny thoughts.
A funny observation I made as a child on my first lengthy international flight in the late 90s is that at the economy class, you have a bunch of uncomfortable mindless zombies. Planes at that time were already equipped with mini devices at the back of each chair. Passengers had the option of playing games, listening to music, watching tv or movies. If you visit the washroom and look back you will see all these people pre-occupied by a tiny screen. As a child, I thought that's pretty funny looking and doesn't look healthy at all.
Now, these devices are more advanced, less clunky and mobile. You see them everywhere. Now, we have mindless zombies walking around the streets with the same devices that used to be attached to chairs.
I honestly don't know how we socialize anymore. The devices are so informative that a young person would rather consult that device then speak to a live human being. Am I that useless and boring compared to your lovely device?
