My favourite ON provincial park

My favourite provincial park in Ontario is Killbear but this blog post is about my last camping trip in Killarney.
Whenever I take time off work to travel out of the city, I try to make the most of it.  I wake up early and sleep later than usual.   No sleeping in on my days off!
As my friends and other campers were still sleeping,  I began my hike of the day.   To make it more enjoyable,  I pretended that I was a merchant traveling back from a fruitful transaction (which means I have finished my delivery).  During my hike, I wiped myself with morning dews from leaves,  I picked myself natural walking canes from the ground,  I washed mud off my feet whenever I came across a body of water (I even saw lily pads, I think), I saw a cub and some other baby animals from really far distances.   I was fully packed,  I was ready for rain and I had food.  I also saw runners and group canoe voyageurs on my way.   Anyhow,  I completed my hike mid-afternoon and just went swimming near our campsite.
I also went hiking at night in the shortest route without a flashlight on my first night  which made the morning warm up drastically easier.
I didn't have a bike or a car so I walked everywhere.  I was a traveling non-selling non-soliciting merchant for a few days there last summer.  Let me know if you saw me!
While Killarney was fun,  I found Killbear more breathtaking but the last time I went to Killbear might have been a decade ago.
Anyhow,  to have an enjoyable stay at the provincial park ask the staff for information during registration/check-ins.  I asked about different hiking routes.  There are a lot of scheduled activities in the park as well so that's also an option.   Read the park's information guide which can be mistakenly identified as a park's newspaper and mark up the maps on it to your heart's desire (I lost my map during my hike, luckily I had another copy).  Otherwise just explore the park and use common sense (ie. if you don't know how to swim,  don't swim alone or to the deep end - swim at the designated beaches not motor boat areas).
Anyways,  I hope you have an enjoyable stay at whenever you are going this summer.
