Engineering is not for you, if...

Yesterday, I wrote about why I am not a game programmer.  Today I'll explain why I never considered engineering as well.

For starters, engines do not excites me.   I am not interested in engines especially non-working ones.

After that,  I have failed miserably when trying to install an external cd-rw drive into my desktop computer.  By the end of my failed attempt, my fingers were bloody and the wire was broken.

On top of that I was shaking during my motherboard (?) midterm in my high school comp eng class.  Thinking back I wonder if I lost some transistors when I try to put whatever together.   It was a hard test for me.  I don't know how I got a decent grade in that class.

From the above,  it's quite clear that I cannot construct and that's one component of engineering.

Anyhow,  the perks of being an engineer includes jumping into paint for no reason whatsoever,  a cool leather jacket and being a know it all.  Yes, an engineering student saw me reading something once,  something very interesting to me.   The student said to me,  "Why read about it when you can make it yourself?".  I had no response but the answer was quite simple,  I'm reading about it because I can't make it myself so I want to live vicariously through reading.  Sheesh, can't a girl enjoy her book.
