Bucket List Starter 101

Yesterday, I briefly mentioned bucket list.  If I have a child, meaning I am childless,  this is how I would create a bucket list for such child.

1.  Tell child to find an empty bucket.

2.  Ensure child provide you with an empty approved bucket.

3.  Distract child.
Sidenote: step 4 may not happen immediately

4.  Child asks for something.   Tell child to write it on a piece of paper.

5.  Ensure the writing on the piece of paper is the same as what the child asked for and is legible.

6.  Ask child to fetch for the bucket.

7.  If child is able to find the bucket then fold paper up and throw into bucket and proceed to step 8.  If child is unable to find the bucket then praise the child on the writing and ask the child to place it into the bucket when such child is able to find it and come back to you with the bucket with the paper and proceed to step 8.  If your child came back with another bucket and you don't know what to do,  please re-read this step.

8.  Now tell child something along the line of this is the first thing you asked for since you brought me the bucket.   For everything you want that I can't get for you immediately,  please jot it down and put it into the bucket and at some point in the future I'll draw from the bucket.

9.  Answer any questions the child may have at this point.   Feel free to start a question bucket at this point.

10.  Some point in time,  you and your child draw from the bucket together and it's close to empty again because whatever was inside was already completed.  The two of you drew together for quite a while until you find that piece of paper with the hard to fulfill thing written down.  If both of you cannot find the bucket.   Perhaps the two of you have too many unknown lists.

There you go.  101 on how to start a bucket list.
